Russell can’t watch final episode ‘without crying’

December 20th, 2009

russell-davidIn a new Doctor Who feature published by the Guardian today, Russell T Davies reveals that part two of The End of Time is so sad that he can’t even watch it without bursting into tears.

“I can’t watch it without crying, literally,” the outgoing showrunner said. “I was checking it for the music cues the other night, which must have been the 17th time I’ve watched it, and I ended up crying. It’s heartbreaking.”

The second instalment of the Tenth Doctor’s regeneration two-parter, a 75-minute special, will air on New Year’s Day on BBC1/HD at 6:40PM. It’s going to be a traumatizing start to 2010…
