I thought Karen definitely is signed up for next series. The reason she might not be in this SJA story could just be too many companions and you can’t not have Sarah (it’s her show after all) and Jo is a treat for classic Who fans. Not much room for Amy in this given you’ll likely have Luke, Clyde and Rani needing something to do as well. Amy might just be on a break like how Donna was during the episode Midnight.

I agree. I will be very upset if Amy is not back next year. I am tired on the one season companions.
