Nesbitt isn't even close to what the Doctor should be. Matt Smith has been superb. Maybe someone older? James Nesbitt should have got it. Hopefully River Song will turn back up and kill him. Is it time for Matt Smith to regenerate yet? Maybe someone older? Great episode. It's dark and eerie, and well paced. Matt just owns the role of The Doctor now. The scene where he interrogated the Silurian was excellent. I found future Amy and Rory waving from the distance quite strange too. Something seemingly trivial, along with The Doctor crossing his timeline previously, that will have more significant meaning later on? The only thing I would change about this series is when it is aired. It would definitely suit being broadcast on a Winter's night. Having watched this again, I stand by my original comments on it. My feelings for this new series are going further down each week. and (ready for controversy) the cliffhanger was the worst ever. I agree there should be no set rules about a 2 parter but the cliffhanger should at least show some last minute drama and jeprody for the characters. This cliffhanger was just "oh we have a silurian city"...that was it???? Oh dear. I thought it was dull. Really really dull. He seems to make evrey story intresting to watch. The only thing that buged me was the new Silurians. They looked nothing like the old ones! The only thing they have in commen is they both have scales. The colour is deffrent, no third eye, i think i bit to human. And i don't understand why they have those masks. But otherwise i liked it, bit Torchwood in some places. I liked it, thought the story was good and MS is great. He seems to make evrey story intresting to watch. I also thought it was really interesting how many references there were to Classic Who. For example the first time, in *Doctor Who and the Silurians* (Doc #3), the Silurians were revived because of the power from a nearby nuclear center. And in *Inferno* (Doc #3) drilling deep into the earth caused humans to become feral, primitive creatures- perhaps similar to what is happening to Tony. In *the Daemons* (also Doc #3), there was a similar shield that prevented anyone from entering or leaving the village. PS- I'm only pointing these out; I think it's good that there are more references to Classic Who these days :) I thought it was a good episode, and did a good job of leading up to next week.
