The coming of 3-D has virtually destroyed my enjoyment of "event" movies in the theatres because where I live the 2-D versions are usually not carried ref: Resident Evil, Despicable Me, Toy Story 3, Shrek Forever, Alice in Wonderland and about 5 or 6 other films I couldn't see this year until they came out on Blu-ray. I did see Avatar in 3-D and hated the experience, which left me with headaches and an active dislike of the movie; I saw the Blu-ray 2-D version and the film is so much better looking without the unnecessary gimmick.
