It's very clumsy. I'm a little embarrassed by it. It really is not that good. It’s very clumsy. I’m a little embarrassed by it.

When we weren't given a date at all and the US was I thought it was going to be like a lot of US stuff, or where it is translated from Japanese and reworked in the US, where often we are about 6 months or a whole series behind. With stuff like that we're lucky when we're only 10 episodes behind. 6 days isn't too bad. Its clearly not a purely British show any more (we had been told that anyway) but how much it is British and how much the Americans have taken over what was a British show we'll have to wait and see. A good result would be if it looks a fair mix with the Britishness not pushed out to the sidelines like some token gesture. At least its only 6 days. I think she understands fans' views on, not so much the amount of time between the airdates, but the principle of Britain seeing it last. So yeah, personally, I appreciate what she's said, that she understands the fans and I'll be watching when we do see it eventually. That's nowhere near as bad as the months-long wait that Canadians and Americans had to endure in the past. And it's nothing new, either - the UK never saw The Prisoner remake, a British production, until months after the US aired it, too. It’s only a week.
