The truth is although I haven't rated Moffat, I do think Matt Smith can be a good Doctor and I'm pleased for him that he gets to do something so historic. If it had been my decision though, having Tennant be part of the relay, changing a piece of Doctor Who in to a piece of real life would have been a truly one-off opportunity, since there will be only one 2012 Olympics ever. I genuinely believe they've missed a massive trick there. Having said that, my disappointment now more under control than 7 minutes after the announcement, I do offer Matt Smith my congratulations and I can't wait to hopefully see video of it.
