It's a shame but there's no way round it. Apart from staying off the internet, and that's crazy talk! But the way the way they played it didn't leave me feel I was missing anything by knowing befor hand. Matt definitely and also Alex Kingston played their parts superbly. What didn't help was the name of Amy's child being leaked online then people posting it on Facebook etc so it became obvious. If the name wasn't leaked online, then I would have been surprised by River's revelation. The acting side of things were brilliant to watch. Matt and Karen said it was gonna be a massive shock and a hugh revelation, but when it came to it, we'd already figured it out. Having said that, Moffat has said that we still don't know everything about River Song, so I think there's more room to actually be surprised by her. And since I'm a magnet for spoilers (it's very annoying), I had managed to find this out already... I didn't want to know the big secret before watching the episode, though. To be honest I didn't see it coming. I thought it was a great plot twist!
