I have followed his career and enjoyed his performances. Unfortunately his "Master" departed the character to far from the concept for the Master. As the proper Master was killed in the Doctor's TARDIS, this cyborg copy just didn't match up to the original character's dangerous nature. He became to unbalanced. Still it was well play in a Carry On Camp sort of way! Happy Birthday John Simm. I have followed his career and enjoyed his performances. I would definitely like to see him return, even if it is only to regenerate. Happy Birthday John Simm! I really liked John Simm as The Master. Yes, I get people didn't like all the laughing, but it was maniacal laughter that we now know was literally drummed into him by Lord President Rassilon during the final days of the Last Great Time War, a key difference between him in modern times and in the Classic era. John Simm is my "The Master" as David Tennant is my Doctor. I'd love to see him return, but if he was to go, I'd like him to at least play the Master one more time, even if it was just for the first episode of a two parter, him regenerate and the second episode feature the next Master. I don't necessarily have a problem with a new "The Master", but it'd be crucial they got the casting right. Anyway, Happy Birthday to John Simm, hope it's a good one.
