He was asked back in the 1990's whether he would be willing to play the Doctor and he gave a resounding *YES*, only never to hear back from the producers. He'll be a fantastic villain and hopefully in the future, like Capaldi, might play a future Doctor. After all, Ben was a particle physicist! As you say it’s about time Ben was in Dr Who!!
