Heaven Sent is Doctor Who's "Ozymandias." Capaldi is the best doctor ever, the music was incredible, the script was mind bending, and the directing was on a whole new level. 10/10 One of the best episodes of television ever produced. Peter Capaldi's acting was incredible, Punching through a diamond wall. It might have taken him a few billion years, but boy, is the twelfth Doctor a tough guy!!! As long as the previous version of himself was connected to the machine, anything directly related to that version would remain while everything else would reset. That is why the cloths were still by the fire, BIRD was still in the sand, and the bloody footprints were still there until he disconnected the wires from the skull. At that point, the bloody footprints disappeared and so did BIRD. @JC

I want to start by saying that I found the Doctor-focused episode quite refreshing, as it gave me an opportunity to really spend some time with the 12th Doctor without any distractions and no one else taking up the spotlight. 'Heaven Sent' gave us an insight into how quickly the 12th Doctor thinks, giving him enough time to almost conference with himself to work out a solution, with the questions he should be asking himself appearing on the blackboard. The episode itself was quite immersive and kept me interested up until around 10 minutes before the end, when the pace went into overdrive with the revelation that the Doctor was caught in an almost infinite loop. It was like the story had been strolling along and then had hit an icy patch that sent it sliding towards the end. I think I'll have to watch it again to understand why the skulls, the teleport room and the harder-than-diamond wall were constant or were allowed to change whilst the rest of the rooms returned to exactly the same configuration. As for the Doctor's return to Gallifrey and his pledge to conquer it and the Time Lords for what they've done, it felt out of character for the Doctor I know and I think what he does next will demonstrate whether his behaviour risks the title 'The Doctor' more than The War Doctor did. The Doctor making up the answer from little tidbits, checked. A lot of neat stuff for long and longer fans, checked. Clara, you girl...! And some answers are still left open. For me, all ingredients of a good Doctor Who episode are here, in Heaven Sent. Let’s see: a big threat, checked. A mystery, checked. The Doctor making up the answer from little tidbits, checked. I remember when you could say what you through on here and people accepted it and a discussion was had about the episode good and bad bits, not told to watch another channel. We keep watching the show weather we like what he is doing to it as it is doctor who some thing we love and enjoyed and hope and wish it will be as good as we remember it in the old days and not an off shot of Sherlock. If you did not your welcome the X Factor on the other side. I thought this was one of the best episodes ever.
