Doctor Who Specials DVD/Blu-ray updates!
Online retailers have updated their Doctor Who Autum and Winter Specials pages with the temporary cover artwork for the DVD, which is due to be released in the United Kingdom on 11th January 2010.
The set will include The Waters of Mars and the two Christmas specials, which together make up David Tennant’s final trilogy of stories as the Tenth Doctor.
Meanwhile, following last month’s announcement that all of the specials will be released together on a DVD and Blu-ray boxset on 11th January 2010, it has now been revealed that the set will include the 2008 Christmas special, The Next Doctor, after all, and, of course, Planet of the Dead, The Waters of Mars, and the Christmas specials! That’s what we call a boxset!
It’s thought that the The Waters of Mars will also be released on a single volume disc, however the release date for that has yet to be announced.
Sounds good to me!
Ah, good, we do get The Next Doctor. I was wondering about that.
Cannot wait to buy this now… this will be one of the best box sets ever released.
Ooooooooooooooh, to a graphic designer like myself, that artwork is very aestheticaly pleasing! Verrrry nice!!! Can’t wait!
@Dan
Likewise. If there is a vanilla release of The Waters of Mars, I hope the template bears some resemblance to what has been used here. I would purchase it for that cover, even though I don’t really like The Waters of Mars from everything we’ve seen of it so far.
