David’s last ever interview as the Doctor

January 1st, 2010

david-tennant-photoshootTissues at the ready, folks! The day that has been highlighted on Whovian calendars across the land has finally arrived, and as such David Tennant has given his last EVER interview as the Tenth Doctor. It had to happen eventually!

“It feels like we’ve been building up to this episode for 4 and a half years,” the actor told BBC News Entertainment Correspondent Lizo Mzimba. “This is the moment we’ve been heading towards, and it feels very exciting. I’m really excited for people to see it, but it’ll be odd once it’s gone.”

He added: ”It’s quite an all-consuming thing and Doctor Who is a big part of my life, and everyday it impacts on my life in some way. To be saying farewell to the sharp end of that is peculiar. I don’t know how it’ll feel in 6 months time, but right now I’m just really excited about this last story going out.”

And his last ever episode airs TONIGHT on BBC1/HD at 6:40PM, and our discussion will be online from 7:55PM (GMT). We’ve come this far together – join us and other visitors as we bid farewell to the Tenth Doctor. Its been a blast, hasn’t it?
