Eve Myles has ‘fingers crossed’ for Torchwood Series 4

February 9th, 2010

eve_mylesIn a recent interview with SFX, Gwen Cooper actress Eve Myles comments on the Torchwood Series 4 speculation and claims that the chances of it being given the go-ahead are likely, despite the fact an official decision has yet to be made.

“The response we had from Children Of Earth was mind-blowing. And not just in the UK. America, Asia and Australia, it’s been a huge hit,” she told the website. “So as far as I know, developments are happening.”

She continued: “I’m waiting with everyone else to have the thumbs up. We don’t know. That’s god’s honest truth. We have no idea how, what or where they’re going to do it. I wish I could give you some juicy gossip, like we’re doing 55 episodes and it’s being filmed in the Antarctic, but I just don’t know.”

Last month it was claimed that Fox were developing a US version of the spin off, which would focus on global affairs.

How about moving on from Torchwood Cardiff? 3 dead, Gwen Cooper pregnant. Jack missing or ******** Midshipman Alonso Frame!!!! How about scrapping Torchwood in favour of UNIT!

You’ve got a point – it’ll be difficult to get back into a series without suddenly having Jack return and be all “Did you miss me?” over again, or else “I couldn’t stay away”. I’ll be interested to see how they write it. If, of course, they do write it.
