Love it! Although, it’s totally wrong – not blinking might be the worst choice they ever make…

I think combining the Weeping Angels with River Song will be a bit strange as a viewer, though I’m sure things will be resolved from “Blink”. I think it’s because I associate River with The Library and the Weeping Angels with the story of Sally Sparrow. Still, it is looking as though it’ll be a good episode, I’m looking forward to getting some “prequel” answers.

The risky thing with River Song is that if your casual viewer didn’t watch Silence/Forest, then they’re just going to be saying “who?” So you require quite a bit of explanation there, seeing as it took an hour and a half last time and we still don’t get it!

For that reason, I think it’s very brave to put in a monster that also needs a fair amount of explanation. They could have shoved in something Slitheen-like, which is a fairly straightforward concept, but no, they went for the ones who aren’t trying to take over the world, actually, who are quantam locked, who don’t actually kill you, who send you back in time, potentially leading to lots of lovely paradoxes…

Thank goodness it’s a two parter, that’s what I think!

I’m just glad that River’s returning for a two-parter, meaning we’ll have seen her in four episodes (apparently six, if the rumours are true).
