Tonight’s the night! Over the last 3 months and 12 episodes of Series 5, for the Doctor, Amy Pond and River Song, all of the signs have been pointing to one specific date: Saturday 26th June 2010. Amy’s time. Check your calendars, folks, as that time is now!

It’s hard to believe, but these last few hours are all that stand between us and the moment we’ve all been waiting for. After last week’s truly mind-blowing cliffhanger, fandom has been inundated with speculation as to just how and even if our heroes will scramble out of this latest predicament – and there genuinely appears to be no justifiable resolution! We’re sure Steven Moffat has more than his fair share of tricks up his sleeve, though, and we have every faith that the new showrunner will deliver a spectacular finale. We don’t have long to wait, as it airs tonight at 18:05 on BBC1/HD, and in the 55-minute climax, all of our questions will finally be answered. It’s about time too!

As soon as you’ve watched it, join us for our final discussion of the series from 19:00 to share your finale thoughts and tears of joy and heartbreak. Hold on tight – Series 5 is about to go out with a bang. A very Big Bang… Enjoy the show, and see you afterwards!

Feel free to share your pre-finale anticipation and self-combustion below. Spoilers!

Before tonight… go back and rewatch Flesh & Blood if you can… particularly the scenes of the Doctor with “blind” Amy in the Forest… and lookout for the “returning Doctor’s tweed jacket” section (believe me I don’t think this is a continuuity blip…) “Remember what I told you when you were 7″…. Piqued your interest yet?

I still believe that the scene where amy (the young amelia pond) first waits in the garden for the doctor and someone moves across the kitchen window (who I now don’t think is Prisoner Zero) will be revisted. And the person in who moves in front of the window with either be plastic rory or the doctor.

Didnt recently Matt smith said he was changing his wardrobe for the new series. maybe that explanes the so called continunty error in flesh and stone

Yep I’ve seen the Jacket thing in flesh and stone to. Never figured out it’s really reason until now as the Jacketless Doctor goes the Jacket Doctor comes through the crack maybe? Like he’s following Amy making sure everything happens as it should and talks about a time when Amy was Seven and that I think that is what was we are going to see in the Big Bang, but Amy has forgotten it for some reason she has not been able to remember or the Doctor had to wipe some parts of her memory maybe thats why she can’t remember the Daleks?. The Big Bang is to me going to be that time when she was seven that time with little Amelia Pond saved the universe. I CAN’T WAIT x
