Titan Publishing have revealed that they’ll be launching a new Torchwood comic series in the US on August 10th, the first issue of which will include the original story, Captain Jack and the Selkie, written by John Barrowman and his sister, Carole E. Barrowman.

In the adventure, Jack faces a deadly threat on a remote Scottish island, where people are disappearing one by one, but, to his horror, Jack starts to suspect that he may already know who – or rather what – is responsible…

The comic first appeared in Issue #14 of the official Torchwood magazine last year and features artwork from acclaimed artist Tommy Lee Edwards.

Issue one will also include the opening instalment of Broken, a 5-part story by Gary Russell, which sees an old villain from the TV series return when Jack, Gwen and Ianto find themselves trapped inside a cosmic hotel. Artwork is provided by Adrian Salmon.
