Silences, Rivers and Songs – Series 6 discussion
It was in The Eleventh Hour we were first told of the mysterious silence, but we’re still no closer to finding out what it is, or, more importantly, what’s behind it…
Steven Moffat has promised us that all of our questions will be answered in Series 6, and we’ve been left with plenty of clues to dissect until it hits our screens! What ominous figure could possibly blow up the TARDIS, and what could be their motives for doing it? We’ve also heard what’s seemingly their voice – does it sound at all familiar?
Could it have anything to do with River Song, who’s identity we’ll also discover next year? In The Big Bang she told the Doctor that everything will change when he finally learns who she is – not the most inviting of prophecies, and we’re sure you’ve all got your own weird and wonderful theories whizzing aimlessly through your Doctor Who obsessed minds. So, it’s about time we gave you somewhere to share them, isn’t it?

I’m not sure how yet, but I’m thinking the regenerating girl might turn out to be Amelia Pond. Amy is of TimeLord descent, but doesn’t know it since the Silence made her forget, through the cracks in the wall of the house where she parked her TARDIS in 1996.
Maybe I’ve missed any comments on this but is there any importance to the fact that the 2nd “TARDIS” is the same as the one in S5 The Lodger?
@Song I think there is. It’s not just any TARDIS, it’s significant that it’s the same one. I think it helps to know that James Corden is going to appear as Craig Owen in this series again too.
When the girl regenerated it was 6 MONTHS LATER so what happened in them 6 months?
Amy did say that it would be strange to have a ‘tardis baby’ because it could have 2 heads or something, the tardis is telepathic, gets inside your head, maybe it’s got inside the baby before it’s fully developed and helped the baby to grow/devolop in a different way than usual?
SM say’d in an inter that the corden tardis was just to tie up the lose ends of that story
How do we know that the future Doctor is definitely him, and was not a trap? Just throwing that one out there. Maybe the space suit was the real Doctor?
