A new photograph taken on the set of this year’s Christmas special was revealed during Matt Smith and Karen Gillan’s appearance on The One Show earlier tonight!

The image shows the Doctor outside the TARDIS, and, while they managed to remain tight-lipped about the festive episode, Karen promised that we can expect to see lots and lots of snow when the Doctor and Amy return to our screens at the end of the year – and the first behind-the-scenes picture (pictured below) can definitely vouch for that!

Filming for the Christmas special, written by showrunner Steven Moffat and guest-starring Sir Michael Gambon and Katherine Jenkins, recently wrapped. 126 days to go!
