More Adventure Games confirmed for next year!
Today it has been annnounced that the BBC will be bringing us more Doctor Who Adventure Games next year!
As MCV reports, Sumo Digital will be developing another batch of the interactive episodes for release throughout 2011, once again starring Matt Smith and Karen Gillan as the Doctor and Amy Pond! The article also suggests that the first 3 games – City of the Daleks, Blood of the Cybermen and TARDIS – have so far been downloaded over 1.6million times.
Head of BBC multiplatform, Simon Nelson, said: “It’s not just about the numbers; the feedback we’ve had has been overwhelmingly positive. Our audience has been introduced to a new form of drama – and, for many, these have been the first computer games they have downloaded. We’ve set new standards in audience participation – and we think we’ve really helped push the concept of families actively playing together. I can’t wait to see what the team does next.”
What do you think about the news? Are you happy there are more games on the way?
The first 3 games can be downloaded now from the official website, and via Direct2Drive for international fans. The fourth game is to be released later in the year.
I like the adventure games, and more doctor who stuff is always a good thing! Only problem is I’m no good with computers and can’t steer the characters properly. As long as they’re still free I think I’ll get them.
I like the games, but I hope they work out the glitches for the next series. It’s very jumpy, and stops and starts a lot which is annoying.
Great! I wonder what it’ll be – maybe ‘Mark of the Judoon’, or ‘The Battle of THE SOntarans’/
I will still get them if they are free because I like them a lot. I have completed the first three. I would like see some more enimies, so bring on the next set!
Chez moi, we did the first one but couldn’t be bothered after that. We’re not very computer-game-minded. And according to my sister “there’s too much sneaking around!”
