    To be honest, after this trailer, 23rd April won’t seem that far away!

    @TWWL
    Unless they’re from Steven’s Episode Seven, I’d take a wild guess and say the Nazis and Stuarts are from Neil’s episode. Either Neil’s or Mark’s.

    9 times out of 10 the head writer creates the main monsters for the series if they are central to the story. The ood was created by Russell T Davies and the writer develops around the head writers brief of the episode. The only exception was steven moffat who created his own monsters (most notably ‘Blink’ because he had already written the story)

    Technically, Matt created the Ood, RTD named them, then RTD re-wrote most of the episodes.

    “I need a pot of coffee, twelve jammy dodgers and a fez” I can already tell it’s going to be awesome!

    If you look closely at the writing on Amy it’s nothing to do with tip/tsp. I had the exact same thought the second I saw the trailer but they are actually tallies – tallying off amys remaining days possibly? Also river has the same marks on her arms at one point in the trailer, all very mysterious! I have a few predictions for this series but I will leave you with this thought… The oods eyes are a different colour!

    The Ood weren’t the main monsters of their original story really though, so it’s very possible they were created by the writer as opposed to RTD.

    I am looking forward to the new season. Brokeback Mountain, X-Files influences……
    One thing I am keeping my fingers crossed for is that both Amy ” wooden top” Pond and Rory “No Personality” Pond(!) both leave. These have to rank as 2 of the worst companions in it’s near 50 year history. In fact I can only think of 1 other who is worse and that was Adric!

    Ah, Adric wasn’t so bad. I don’t like Susan or Barbara because they’re useless and just scream a lot. It’s all down to personal preference I suppose!

    Poor Susan and Barbara were victims of their era, really. Put in the Doctor’s granddaughter today and no doubt she’d be far more Jenny-like! She is a Time Lord after all *ducks to avoid controversy*

    Steve,
    I agree. I am so tired of Amy. I started out REALLY liking her but as time went by, I liked her less. I rewatched series 5 and she is constantly whining and complaining and she is also mean and snotty and awful to Rory. She is far from the Best of Humanity (as the doctor says). The first time around, I think I just forgot/forgave it all. When I rewatched series 5, I found myself starting to hate her. The girl (KG) is very cute but as far as I’m concerned, that doesn’t make up for her behavior.

    Are you kidding! Amy is the best companion ever! She isn’t so passive and boring like the rest of them(I do love Donna.) As a girl I find her awesome! She is confident, outspoken, and the funniest of all the companions. She is in no way snotty or whiny. And she only bosses Rory around because he needs it.
    Three words: Best companion, EVER!

    Rory is also amazing. Rory+Amy= <3
