Entertainment Weekly have released two new interviews with John Barrowman and Eve Myles, in which they share some new tidbits about Torchwood: Miracle Day!

According to John, the 10 part series has the “heart and soul” Torchwood’s always had, but manages to be even “bigger and better” than before. “I knew they would be true to the show and not change drastically,” he explains. “If it was watered down, I wouldn’t have done it.” He also reveals that we’ll learn a lot more about Jack’s mysterious past.

He teases: “You get a lot into the history of Jack, and see one of his big relationships that defines a lot about who he is. You also find out lots more about Jack and Gwen.”

Meanwhile, Eve describes Gwen as “a mother and a warrior”, promising: “She’s militant and does what she has to do, and has to make the biggest sacrifice of her life. The only place for Torchwood to go was bigger and better, and we’ve completely conquered that.”

Torchwood: Miracle Day will premiere in the UK (BBC One) and the US (Starz) in July.

    @BadWolfJen
    I’d take a wild guess and say either the night or the week after it premieres in the UK, same in the US.

    Warrior Gwen makes me laugh-not sure if i am gong to watch it -may try the first episode snd see how it goes–all sounds to action packed and geared towards and Americain audience for my tastes-i found COE to be messy and repetitive in places-and way overblown-preferred the quirkiness of S1/2 and the cardiff setting made it a unique.
