Suranne Jones has revealed that she had a “brilliant” time filming her guest role in Doctor Who.

The actress will be seen in next week’s anticipated episode, The Doctor’s Wife, as Idris, and has told Manchester Evening News: “She’s an old character with a new face. It was brilliant working with Matt Smith. I did a lot of green screen stuff with people saying, ‘And now there’s a meteor flying out of your head’. I have no idea what it looks like. But it was fantastic.”

The Doctor’s Wife airs next Saturday, 14th May, at 6:30pm on BBC One/BBC One HD.
