Eve Myles, Kai Owen, Bill Pullman on Torchwood
AfterElton has released new interviews with Eve Myles, Kai Owen and Bill Pullman, in which they each discuss what their characters will be getting up to in the new series of Torchwood, which begins next month.
“We find Gwen bored out of her mind but on alert, looking over her shoulder,” Eve explains. “She will remain on alert for the rest of her life. She’s exhausted. You find her living, literally, on the edge of a cliff somewhere in the UK. For Rhys, it’s wonderful. For Gwen, it’s hell.”
Kai continues: “It finds Rhys in the most perfect place on earth – in a lovely cottage in South Wales, overlooking the sea, with a beautiful wife, a beautiful daughter. They can’t go back to the city, but when they get the call to go back, he thinks he’s OK. He starts out happy to be out of it, then before you know it, slap-bang in the middle once more.”
Meanwhile, Bill shares a few interesting tidbits about his “ostracized” character, Oswald Danes, revealing: “He’s not necessarily a likable man, assuming that everyone wants him dead, which is the irony of it all. But he’s got great perspective, and he’s kind of clever – he’s been operating very successfully online for a very long period of time.”
6 trailers were released yesterday, each of them introducing one particular character.
