As we look back fondly on Series 6’s first seven weeks of high drama, action and suspense, we can be reassured with the knowledge that we’ve got another six to look forward to later in the year (as well as the Christmas special)!

Although the Doctor’s return in the autumn feels like it’s a million miles away right now, tonight’s cliffhanger has left us with plenty to speculate over, and we were also given some information about his forthcoming adventures. He’ll be back in Episode 8, which has been named as Let’s Kill Hitler.

In addition, a teaser for it has aired featuring a skeleton and the tagline “Time runs out”.

The Doctor Who site also has a video of Steven Moffat and Alex Kingston sharing some hints about what lies ahead. The spring series may be over, but it’s only the start!

    river says she killed a good man, does anyone else think River/melody is the little girl in the astronaut suit?

    The good man River kills could be her father Rory. He keeps getting killed and then is alive again. Killing Rory could get the…. “not again”…. reaction and then slowly realize that this time it’s permanent.

    People keep saying and asking why River has timelord DNA… they explained it in A Good Man Goes To War. It’s because she was conceived while the TARDIS was in flight/in the vortex which gave the kick start and then the eye-patch lady and the clerics have manipulated and worked on the DNA since they took Amy!

    I thought about the whole Rory dying repeatedly but being brought back… I think like Shawn says it’s like Peter cried wolf. :P

    im begining to think that river kills rory outright now like people on here r saying so that when his death really comes we’re like ah well he’ll came back to life and then we find he dosent and then we will all be really shocked ib think the best man she ever new would be her father as he waited for 2000 years for amy and all the other stuff hes done i really dont think its the doctor as its too ovibus and nobody likes the doctor enough to imprison someone for his death like someone else on this site as said unless its i close friend to the doctor

    The skeleton hand with the screw driver could be rivers/melodys. I saw her with a sonic screwdriver, like the doctors in silence in the library. This could also be wrong because in the time of angels she asks the doctor to sonic her. Meaning she doesnt have a screwdriver at the time.

    @The 13th Doctor
    Just a bit. If they BBC so much as glance in the wrong direction on this one they’ll have a full on riot from the media, the fans… everyone.

    @Professor Zed
    Lordy I hope not. Like I said to @The 13th Doctor, can you imagine the hullabaloo if that’s the case? I don’t care what kind of crazy plot twist it would make… the Doctor can’t save Hitler. He’s spent his life trying to defeat the Daleks, which are basically just outer-space Nazis. Besides, it’s quite a disconcerting idea. Blaming Pompeii on the Doctor is fine, but WWII? Not so much. Almost 70 years later it’s still too soon.

    … heheh am I reading too much into this? Probably. ;P

    I also think that the person that River kills could be Rory, but I do think it is a bit unfair to keep killing him…

    Of course. If Hitler is obviously in the episode then I dont think they can change the way Hitlers actions happened during WWII at the expense of a TV show, it would be a bit like sayin that Osama Bin Laden was working for the daleks, too touchy, (that wasnt meant to offend anyone by the way) but I think Im reading too much into it….

    I’m guessing Hitler is figuratively the Doctor, because of all that warrior stuff. I’m not sure though.

    Actually,River killing Rory would actually make sense…Rory is immortal, Amy isn’t. If Amy dies and Rory keeps on living (and never even aging…),this could be a tragic for Rory. I’m guessing River kills or euthanizes Rory to spare him from the torture of not being with Amy forever…oh good lord,i’m going sappy in my old age…

    Actually if you think about it river said that she is going to die a horrible death this might be her skeleton hand on the teaser trail at the end of a good man goes to war…..
