Eve discusses Miracle Day and its “shock” ending
Eve Myles has promised that the ending to the new series of Torchwood will “shock the hell out of” us.
Speaking to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette about all things Miracle Day, the actress teases: “There’s definitely a lead on for more, but it all depends on if people want more. I’m terrified of the thought of another series, as it will have to top Miracle Day and I’m a broken woman at the moment. I have more bruises than I know what to do with! But the ending will shock the hell out of you…”
She also gives us an insight into Gwen’s state of mind at the start of the new series. “She’s a wanted woman,” she explains. “When I read the first episode, I found her quite sad actually, the way she was behaving and what her life had become, living in seclusion, completely self-sufficient and lonely. She’s got no one to talk to because Rhys doesn’t want to hear about it. I found it really sad. She’s in a very odd place.”
Elsewhere, she has also spoken to the Hollywood Reporter about what’s coming up…
“It’s still feisty and cheeky and naughty and dark and thrilling,” she says. “Obviously there is an American feel to it, because of the circumstances of the show, but if the question is, have things been tamed to accommodate an American show, then no.”
