The Herald Scotland has revealed that David Tennant will be playing the protagonist Dave in an upcoming BBC One drama called Single Father.

The four-part series is being produced by BBC Scotland and follows the photographer as he struggles to come to terms with the death of his wife and tries his best to raise their four children.

But he soon falls for his late partner’s best friend and finds it difficult to juggle love and being a good father. It’s written by Mick Ford and production is set to commence in Glasgow next month.

“I feel very lucky to have been sent this script,” the Tenth Doctor actor said. “When I read what Mick Ford had written I was desperate to be part of this project.”

Single Father is expected to air later this year. Stay tuned!
