David Tennant up for Broadcasting Press Guild award!

February 18th, 2010

david-tennant-greyIt has been announced that David Tennant has been nominated for the Broadcasting Press Guild’s Best Actor award for his acclaimed portrayal of the Tenth Doctor!

He faces fierce competition from James Nesbitt, who is shortlisted for his performance in BBC One’s drama series Occupation, and David Morrissey, for his appearance in Red Riding for Channel 4.

Morrissey is also recognised by Whovians as Jackson Lake from the 2008 Doctor Who Christmas special, The Next Doctor.

The winners are selected by TV and radio journalists and will be announced at the ceremony which is due to take place at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane on March 26th 2010. We’d like to wish David the very best of luck!

Last month his role in Doctor Who won him the Best Drama Peformance gong at the 15th National Television Awards.
