Doctor Who confirmed for BBC Proms 2010!
The line up for the BBC Proms 2010 was unveiled today, with confirmation that, for the second time, Doctor Who will be included in the festivites!
This year’s events - taking place on 24th/25th July - will follow the same format as the successful 2008 concert, with the London Philharmonic Choir and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales peforming both popular incidental music from Doctor Who, composed by Murray Gold, as well as other pieces of traditional and modern music!
The two concerts, taking place inside the Royal Albert Hall, have the same running order, and both will be presented by Matt Smith and Karen Gillan.

There are also other Doctor Who related activites planned across the weekend, including the chance to play the Doctor Who theme tune (2:00PM Saturday/1:45PM Sunday), and an introduction with the sound team (5:45PM Saturday).
Tickets for the Proms will officially go on sale on Tuesday 4th May at 8:00AM.
When I saw two dates, I presumed it was for two different proms, not just a new concert that would be repeated the next day. Although, if they perform Amy’s Theme and The Eleventh Hour (Series Trailer theme), I’ll be over the moon…
