DWM #421 was published across the UK today, and inside there are previews of The Vampires of Venice, Amy’s Choice and the Silurians two-parter, the titles of which are revealed inside as The Hungry Earth and Cold Blood!

Meanwhile, in Steven Moffat’s latest Production Notes, the showrunner reveals what happened when Matt Smith and Karen Gillan embarked on the UK launch tour and went back to school, as the Watcher presents his in-depth guide to the Doctor’s beloved time and space machine, the TARDIS…

Also inside the issue, designer Ed Thomas, the man behind Victory of the Daleks, Mark Gatiss, and actors Nick Briggs and Barnaby Edwards explain just how and why the newly designed paradigm of Daleks came about, and, in Supernature, their DWM comic strip debut, the Doctor and Amy visit a jungle planet packed with scary surprises.

Plus, actress Alex Kingston discusses the secrets of her enigmatic character, River Song, and actor Terrence Hardiman talks about his role in The Beast Below, while Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Caitlin Blackwood and Steven Moffat comment on the challenges they faced bringing The Eleventh Hour to life.

Doctor Who Magazine #421 is out now, at its usual price of £4.20.
