DWM #421 cover, Episode 8 title confirmed
The artwork for the forthcoming issue of Doctor Who Magazine – issue #421 – was unveiled on the magazine’s official Facebook group earlier today!
Inside the issue, there are previews of Episode 6, Vampires in Venice, Episode 7, Amy’s Choice, and Episode 8, which, as revealed on the cover, is called The Hungry Earth! As well as that, there’s a brand new comic adventure, and exclusive interviews with Alex Kingston and actor Terrence Hardiman…
Doctor Who Magazine #421 is published on Thursday 29th April.
Thanks to Daniel for the tip-off!
Now that looks cool!
Very interesting titles and great cover! Thanks for reporting!
Can’t wait until Wednesday to find out the title of Episode Nine, especially if it’s as fantastic as The Hungry Earth!
@TE
Surely the title for episode 9 would be on the cover too? I think the Eurovision will be between 8 and 9 therefore the preview of that would be in the next issue, not #421. But I may be wrong!
@Adam
I have been thinking for months now that Eurovision would put a gap between Episodes Eight and Nine. However, given the consistent scheduling this year, Doctor Who wouldn’t exactly interrupt Eurovision at 6.20pm.
The only reason Episode Eight was postponed in Series Four was due to the fact they were moving the show closer towards 7pm, and Silence in the Library wouldn’t have worked earlier than that.
The only programme that would need to shoved because it’s in the way is that Lloyd-Webber rubbish.
This is the longest we have had to wait for episode titles, isn’t it?
A clever ploy by The Moff to keep up the suspense.
It’s working beautifully!
Cover looks great. The Hungry Earth is the first episode of a two parter isn’t it?
I love the front cover its really cool
Does anyone else think Matt has the ability to look old and young simultaneously? Weird!!
@Admin
Just to let you know, the title for episode 6 has been altered to:
‘The Vampire Of Venice’
as seen on the front cover of issue #421. Hope that helped.
*The Vampires Of Venice
@David
And sound it too. Quite brilliant.
Still certain that “The” is an error on the BBC’s behalf. According to Gallifrey Base, the preview discs were labelled “Vampires of Venice”, and Toby Whithouse called the episode “Vampires of Venice”, not in.
Also, glad to see they’ve finally confirmed Vincent and the Doctor as Episode Ten! But, I still dislike Cold Blood, ever since it was the rumoured title for Episode Nine. Also, I think there’s a possibility Episode Eleven may be called The Lodger, just because that was the name of the comic, wasn’t it?
