impossible-to-crack

We’re now two episodes in to this year’s series and already there’s an intreguing story arc cracking into motion!

Speculation is rife as to just how and why the mysterious cracks keep appearing, first in Amy’s bedroom in The Eleventh Hour, and then again in the hull of the Starship UK spaceship in The Beast Below…

In addition, Prizoner Zero told the Doctor that the Pandorica will open, and that silence will fall. But what does it mean?

Feel free to discuss your outlandish theories right here, right now, and also over the coming months as the mystery deepens. Can you crack it?

What did you think of The Beast Below? Have your say in our discussion.

    possible big spoilers,

    There was a goblin. Or a trickster, or a warrior. A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. Nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it – one day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.”

    synopsis of the finale with the cracks being revealed, sounds like Sutekh to me! remember he was trapped in a time tunnel by the doctor, the cracks are him trying to get out

    @JD
    Could be, could be. I kind of hope it isn’t though. I’d like a finale with something new for once. Just because I’d like to see if that could be done convincingly. So far, it’s always been a great baddie of old – why not a great new baddie? The weeping angels should be there, maybe next finale.

    My theory to the pandorica opens is that the cracks we have seen all lead to a place called Pandorica. I reckon that the finale will include creatures that have gone through the crack or been affected by it somehow. The cybermen could return because nobody remembers the cyberking, the daleks could return cause amy does’nt remember the daleks, maybe something will happen with the silurians. so whatever falls into the cracks, goes to the pandorica and its about to open with a big bang.

    The crack story arc is obvious. We’re being bludgeoned with it as each episode ends (3 so far here in US).

    Perhaps this has something to do with “The Moment” the Doctor uses (used) to destroy Dalek and Time Lords at the end of the time war.

    Or maybe something to do with the monologue Tennant had speaking to the Master. Could this be the appearance of the Skaro degredations, the Hoard of Travisties, the Nightmare Child or the could have been king with his army of meanwhiles and never were’s.

    Speaking of obvious, was I the only one to work out from the trailers that the Time Lords were the real baddies of “The End Of Time” and not the Master?

    SM is really remaking the whole show- New Doctor, new TARDIS, new TARDIS control room, new Daleks, etc. Eventually, the Cybermen too (presumably).

    i reckon that the pandorica is obviously not that dangerous if river survived and plus like prizoner zero said “silence will fall” which means it is obvoisly sommat that will bring silence over the universe. is this the day the doctor falls?

    I know that whatever it is, it is connected to the Pandorica which maybe is something that doesn’t in a way exist but holds everything that the crack “eats” and stores it inside the Pandorica to be never seen again

    I think there may be other stuff going on as well as the crack. There seem to be a lot of curious words dropped in. Legend and Fairytales were referred to in Flesh and Stone, in 11th Hour the laptop being used was a Myth laptop. Could be totally wrong, but am going to re-watch see if I pick up anything else along those lines!
