MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival have today unveiled their list of nominations for this year’s Channel of the Year awards.

Doctor Who is included in the shortlist for the best Terrestrial Programme of the Year, facing competition from The X Factor, Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Outnumbered and FlashForward. The winners will be determined through a live vote at the festival on Saturday 28th August, and the ceremony will be hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall.
