The BBC Press Office has today issued the official synopsis for Series 5 Episode 10 – the highly-anticipated story, Vincent and the Doctor, which is written by Richard Curtis (Love Actually, The Vicar or Dibley).

Terror lurks in the cornfields of Provence, but only a sad and lonely painter can see it. Amy Pond finds herself shoulder to shoulder with Vincent Van Gogh, in a battle with a deadly alien.

The episode will air on BBC1/HD on Saturday 5th June, at the provisional time of 18:50, however the schedules will be finalized next week.
