Simon Nye describes Amy’s Choice as “a scary romp”
DigitalSpy have today released their Q&A session with Simon Nye, the man behind this week’s episode, Amy’s Choice, who talks exclusively about what we can expect to see in his highly-anticipated story.
“It’s the middle episode and Amy’s at the middle of this odyssey of getting to know the Doctor and the universe,” he reveals. “She’s still got this lingering problem that she’s supposed to be getting married the next day. This is her choosing between the Doctor and Rory.”
Of the mysterious Dream Lord character, the writer teases: “The Dream Lord tortures the Doctor, in a rather cruel way, for his foibles and his weaknesses. He really needles him about the history of his relationships with his companions – the fact that he always chooses a pretty young thing, rather than a middle aged bloke.”
Amy’s Choice airs this Saturday at 18:25 on BBC One/HD, followed by Confidential, Arthurian Legend, at 19:10 on BBC3 and 20:10 on BBC HD.
Is dr who definitely not going to be on 29th may due to the eurovision or is it still just a possibility.
Looking forward to this one! Though good Lord, the word ‘romp’ never fills me with confidence, all too often it’s used in connection with poor episodes. From the advert, it doesn’t feel like a ‘romp’ though, it looks far more interesting than that.

I hope it is on, I’d hate not to have Doctor Who on my birthday just because of Eurovision
@dandaines
It’s more likely than unlikely at this point. Due to the possibility of another 6.15pm start for Episode Nine, it would finish just before Eurovision, with Over the Rainbow having the opportunity to conclude on Sunday.
Also, they really need the series to finish on the 26th June, rather than a week later.
