John Barrowman to co-write new children’s book
The Bookseller has revealed that Doctor Who and Torchwood star John Barrowman will be co-writing a new children’s sci-fi/fantasy book with his sister, Carole E. Barrowman.
The novel will be aimed at 9-12 year olds and will be published by Buster Books in August 2011. It will follow the story of a 13 year old twin brother and sister. John and Carole have previously written a Torchwood comic together, as well as both of John’s autobiographies.
The website also reports that John will be writing a forthcoming Torchwood novel.
aimed at nine to twelve year olds….. oh well….. who cares if i’m 15?
why does it take two people to write a book?
I feel John’s sister is cashing on his name, cynical i know but have never heard of her until John was more reconizable.
Writing something (whether it be a script, a book etc) is a very hard and time consuming process (I should know. I do it for a living :-s). Sometimes it’s easier to split the workload with someone, as long as they both have the same passion and overall feel of the story. I’ve co-written something in the past with someone and while it was a good way to write I ended up doing more of the work to save the carcrash that it started out as…anyhoo I digress…
And plus as well JB is a very busy man these days, he probably doesnt have time to commit to the full writing process
@pirko
True, and (according to Wikipedia) his sister is an English professor and journalist.
