Overnight ratings for The Pandorica Opens

Overnight ratings have revealed that The Pandorica Opens achieved an unofficial audience of 5.9million.

5.4million watched the first half of this year’s series finale on BBC1 last night, with an additional 0.5million tuning in on the HD channel. With a 31.4% share of the total TV audience, Doctor Who was the most watched programme of the day, managing to beat the Cameroon v Denmark World Cup match, which brought in 5.2million for ITV1.  Final ratings will be released by BARB soon.

    I thought the episode was fantastic! The viewing figure should be up a lot when we hear the final viewing figure. I’d say around 8-9 million. This series viewing figures have actually been a little higher than past series. series 2 for example. This series has been a success and I’m sure we have many more to come :D

    Yeah, with that to start with, final firgure should be around eight million-ish.

    As expected with the dramatic finales (Journey’s End, The End of Time), The Big Bang will probably have a final rating of around 9 million, so I agree: The Pandorica Opens will probably have around 8 to 9 million.
