Thank you!

June 26th, 2010
thank-you-2

The time has come for us to say a fond farewell to the Doctor after another action-packed series, but we’d also just like to say a huge thank you to all of YOU for sticking with us over the past 13 weeks.

Since the new series began, we’ve had over 650 comments on our episode discussions, as well as 407 ratings. We also broke a record straight after The Eleventh Hour, achieving over 300 visitors online at once. Of course, it’s all down to you, so thanks everybody!

Now the series is off our screens, it won’t be long before the withdrawal symptoms begin to kick in, but fear not! We’ve got lots to look forward to over the coming months, including the two remaining Adventure Games, and, of course, Series 4 of The Sarah Jane Adventures, which kicks off in the Autumn on CBBC. The future’s bright!

We’ll be here covering it all, from the latest Series 6 developments to the rest of the news straight from the vortex. So, thank you (again!), and here’s to the future!

I’d also like to thank the Whoviannet staff, as without them, this site wouldn’t exist. I’ve said before that this site is the only Doctor Who fansite I visit and you begin to recognise some of the regular posters like a proper forum-like community.

The coverage of Season 5 has been great, the people commenting have been great and have been accomodating to different people’s opinions, resulting in enjoyable chats and discussions and although Season 5 is over now and I know there’ll be withdrawl symptoms, so to speak, I’ll continue to come back to check on early Season 6 news, as they start filming in July, so we can hope to get some kind of paparazi shots of them filming or whatever.

So yeah, it’s been good, a better Season perhaps because I’ve been part of this community and had the opportunity to read other people’s views on things as they happen.

What brilliant reporting from WhovianNet over the past 13 weeks inparticular, thanks for covering Series 5 so informatively and quickly and for keeping all the spoilers out for spoiler avoiders like me.

Can’t wait for more news on Series 6, SJA and the rest over the coming months! Thanks again!

I’d like to echo the above: thank you for everything, WhovianNet! JC’s right: we do have a community here, but with none of the exclusiveness that forums bring.

I’d also like to draw attention to the fact that dani and Lee have essentially posted contradictory comments. Where dani thanks you for the spoilers, Lee thanks you for keeping them out! This is another reason why this site is brilliant – spoilerphiles like dani and me can access them and spoilerphobes like Lee can avoid them. You’ve got a brilliant balance.

I shall be here right through til Christmas, series six/thirty two/two/fnarg-plus-one and onwards. Thank you WhovianNet!

Just wanted to say that your reporting and updates have constantly been excellent. I visit various who sites for updates and gossip etc but this is by far the best. Always the first to report updates. Keep up the great work :)
