A Christmas Carol tops iTunes charts in US, Australia

This year’s Doctor Who Christmas special, A Christmas Carol, is currently at the very top of the US and Australia iTunes TV charts!

The seasonal special aired in the US on Christmas Day, where it was watched by an average audience of 727,000. It was the quickest a new episode has ever aired on BBC America following its UK debut, and according to a recent report from CNN, “plans are in the works for season six to be broadcast the same day” as well.

The festive episode was the 8th most watched programme of the day in Australia.
