Colin Firth “would never rule out” a Doctor Who role
January 22nd, 2011
Colin Firth has allegedly revealed that he would love to be offered a role in Doctor Who or Torchwood.
The Daily Star reports that the actor, whose latest film, The King’s Speech, is currently in cinemas, said: “I’d never rule out a role in Doctor Who or Torchwood. I’d love to play a villain. I’m a much nastier person than people think.”
Firth is also well known for his roles in Pride and Prejudice, Love Actually, Mamma Mia! and Bridget Jones’s Diary.
Before the Kings speech I would have said hell no! But since then hes done for some fantastic roles, I think he would make an excellent Master or even a Time Lord

He was amazing in The King’s Speech, wasn’t he? I’d love to see him as the Master, actually. He’d make a very different one to John Simm, so it’d be great to have the contrast.

He was very deserving of his award for ‘The King’s Speech’. He pretty much turned it around for that film. For years I have felt he has just done the same part and is the lovey dovey leading man but now I cannot be more wrong.
He HAS to be the master next! (sorry benedict cumberbatch) but he’d be amazing!!
