New limited edition Earthshock Cyberman maxi bust

Thanks to Forbidden Planet for sending us details of the new limited edition Cyberman maxi bust which is now available to pre-order!
The high quality sculpt – which will be released next month at the RRP of £59.99 – depicts the Doctor’s iconic foe as seen in the 1982 serial Earthshock, featuring Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor and Matthew Waterhouse as Adric. The bust is part of Titan’s Masterpiece Collection, which also includes the Doctor, Amy, Jack and the Master.
Meanwhile, fans of the classic series will no doubt want to get their mitts on this new action figure set based on the Fourth Doctor’s 1975 adventure, The Sontaran Experiment! It will be released in February and can be pre-ordered now for £34.99.
As nice as these ‘half body’ statues are, am I the only one who would prefer a full figure with legs? Is it a price issue? It’s such a shame the sixteen collectibles statues didn’t sell well but at over £100 each it wasn’t surprising. Presumably ‘new series’ stuff such as this will have a wider appeal. I will give them a miss as I buy too much already. I will definitely be picking up the Sontran set though. Roll on the Destiny and Genesis sets.
The top halves of these statues look great. The bottom halves make the entire thing look way to bizarre. I don’t have the money for them anyway, but even if I did, I would want legs and all.
I’ll keep my money in my pocket and save it for a rainy day.
