The BBC Press Office has confirmed the air date for Matt Smith’s new drama, Christopher and his Kind.

The one-off drama – which chronicles the formative years of Christopher Isherwood – will air on BBC Two on Saturday 19th March at 9:30pm on BBC Two. The Eleventh Doctor actor portrays the celebrated author, who escapes the repressive English society and his suffocating relationship with his mother for the decadent and politically unstable world of 30s Berlin.

Matt has said he hopes his peformance will show he “can adapt to different roles”.
