Matt Smith featured on this week’s Radio Times
Matt Smith is featured on the cover of this week’s issue of Radio Times – on sale today – ahead of the transmission of Christopher and his Kind this weekend.
The actor is also interviewed inside the issue about his portrayal of Christopher Isherwood and talks about how different the role is to the Eleventh Doctor. In the drama, the celebrated author escapes the repressive English society and his suffocating relationship with his mother for the decadent and politically unstable world of 1930s Berlin.
“He left England and arrived in Berlin, a place that in comparison was an alien planet,” Matt explains. “There’s this burgeoning doom of Nazism emerging. It feels like there are vampires walking the city. There are these brown shirts who are becoming more prominent and more vocal. They’ve started ransacking shops.”
Christopher and his Kind will air Saturday 19th March at 9:30pm on BBC Two.

@PondandBeyond
But unfortunately for those of us not in the UK it’s the only way we can watch some of these BBC dramas. Although you’re right they shouldn’t be downloaded. Free streaming or youtube is the way to go.
@e.p
I supose your right.
@PondandBeyond
Believe me, if I could pay something like a licensing fee and have access the the BBC iplayer I would!
