US fans given the chance to build their own TARDIS!
An exciting competition is currently underway in the US, giving Doctor Who fans the opportunity to build their very own homemade TARDIS!
Fans have been invited to design and build their own original version of the iconic police box and send a picture or video of the finished product placed in a ”creative public location”. The winner will recieve a private Doctor Who screening event in their local area in September 2011, as well as over $2,000 worth of Doctor Who DVDs.
The closing date for entrees is 15th May 2011, and the competition is only open to US residents over the age of 18. You can see the full list of rules and terms & conditions on the Where’s the TARDIS? site, and watch an amusing introduction video below!
The contest was launched by BBC America, who will be airing Series 6 from 23rd April.
That amusing introduction video is actually a promo for the DW series that BBC America has been airing for quite a long time now. It has nothing to do with the contest.
