Doctor Who Countdown – Tonight!
Yee-ha! It’s been a long wait, but tonight, after weeks of teasers, trailers, previews and spoilers, we’ll finally be put out of our misery as the Doctor, Amy and Rory return to our screens with a bang – and not a minute too soon!
The new series kicks off at 6pm on BBC One with The Impossible Astronaut, part one of the epic US-based adventure, in which our heroes will be reunited in the Utah desert, where a strange summons unveils a terrible secret which the Doctor’s friends must never reveal to him.
If that wasn’t enough, Confidential is also back! Coming to America will air on BBC Three/BBC HD at 7pm, taking us behind the scenes of the mind-blowing series opener.
Going from what we’ve seen of it so far, there’s sure to be shocks, twists and surprises aplenty in the first episode (which is backed up even more so by these new images released today…), and we’ll of course be here straight after, at 6:45pm, ready and waiting with our first discussion of the new series. Drop by to discuss everything from the Stetson to the President to the astronaut to the Silence to the dramatic cliffhanger!
Don’t forget that at 6:45pm, the CBBC Channel will be showing My Sarah Jane, a tribute to actress Elisabeth Sladen, who passed away from cancer on Tuesday.

I have been looking forward to today ever since watching the trailer for it straight after “A Christmas Carol”.
That teaser is creepy! Can’t wait!
