Bah! 6pm! They’re sticking to the early timeslot then. I remain baffled as to why they want to put it on so early.

I fear even lower ratings this year, unless the weather is awful…

6o’clock? Bit of a divy think to do. 45min Confidential: good times!

No, 6PM is too early, especially for an opener. S4 got 9.1 million but that was twenty minutes later and I don’t think the weather was too good. Also, I think they should cut Confidential to 30 mins as I’ve noticed a down trend in the ratings for it!

Well,I’m still hopeful it will pull in good ratings but 6.00 is too early. The sing thing only got 3.5 million at 6.30 last week and I’m sure the Doctor will do much better than that. The BBC bosses know that a later slot would bring in more viewers but the earlier slot may help ‘So you think you can sing’ get more viewers. Maximising viewing figures for just ONE programme is not the BBC’s only concern. The problem is the press. IF the figures are down on last year there will be ‘Doctor Who in ratings failure’ headlines. A casual viewer who misses the first episode then thinks it’s not worth watching this year. Madness. Perhaps we’ll get 2m i-player viewings this year?

The earlier time slots have actually made for slightly more viewers in the past few years, apart from a couple of weeks in the summer, Which should be helped byh the mid season break.

6pm do they want good ratings or not put it back to at least 7pm.and btw if it is supposed to be really dark and scary is 6pm not a bit too early for that sort of thing.I know we will watch it anyway as will most Whovians but you need more viewers that just the dedicated to push up your ratings…

Despite many of us saying over and over last year that we didn’t want early time slots like this, it is happening again.

The BBC simply do not listen to their viewers.

Still, great to have a confirmed time & date. Welcome back DW!

its very irritating, i have googled and searched and cannot see when it is repeated – as i am out at 6pm on Saturday I will have to watch the repeat. Dont tell me to use the iplayer, I live in rural area and the broadband spped is so slow we can’t use it. Why cant the listing state when it is next repeated ?

Well 6pm was always the time that it used to be on back in the good old days (black and white tv!!!)… I think anyway! But everybody will have a preferred time that they want it to be on, some people 6pm will be to early for and other ok-for me 6pm is ok because we have dinner later- before, doctor who and dinner always used to clash…! :(
I think as long as it stays a similar time each week it will be easier and people will be able to plan there evenings around it. If it changes the time it is on by alot every week it will be harder!
Thanks for reading my opinion!!! :) :) :)
