Matt says that Episode 7’s cliffhanger is “a killer”…
Matt Smith popped in for a chat with Greg James on Radio 1 on Thursday, and during the interview he talked about Episode 7’s “killer” cliffhanger…
“There are huge cliffhangers this series,” he said. “There’s a great one at the end of Episode 7 about River which is a killer, and then the start of Episode 8, we really learn who she is. The first time the Doctor met her, she died, and then she’s come back under the new tenure of Steven Moffat and we don’t know really know who she is.”
He continued: “She just sort of swoops in then swoops out and causes the Doctor all kinds of havoc and madness, and also saves his life on numerous occasions. But she knows more about his own future than he does, which, for the Doctor, is a stange and bizarre concept, so it makes the Doctor uncomfortable, and not a lot does…”
The new series continues tonight with The Curse of the Black Spot at 6:15pm, BBC1.
Sounds awesome The gap between pt.1 and pt.2 is going to be an agonising wait……
its the wait til each eipesode each week thats killing me and the summer split is going to kill me too lol but this series is great so far for a die hard fan like me im impressed so for!!!!
What?! We’ve been told, specifically told, that we find out who River is in episode seven. AND NOW WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL AUTUMN?!?!?!
Apologies for the capitals. Normally I don’t stoop to such a breach of online etiquette. But I think I’m justified on this occasion.
Moffat, you bloody (brilliant) tease, you…
