    Anyone know, will there be a box set with the full series 6 this year, or is it just the two separate 6.1 and 6.2 sets?

    @Rebecca Yeah, 2 Entertain wouldn’t do that to us. We’ve been spoiling by having all the extras, Confidential Cutdowns, etc. The only question is whether the set will include A Christmas Carol and the Proms concert. I’ve gotten mixed messages on whether they might keep those two as a separate release this time. Otherwise 6.1 and 6.2 are basically just the same concept as the “Part 1″, “Part 2″, “Part 3″ etc releases involving three or 4 episodes at a time that BBC Video has traditionally released for those who can’t wait for the main box set.

    I doubt 2|Entertain would be that harsh and leave out A Christmas Carol even though they can be gold-diggers sometimes ;)

    @Thomas
    you don’t need an alien invasion to make it a good episode. yes we all have our opinions but i thought it was definitely a christmassy episode which the moff had promised us. it had a scrooge type character who was changed for the better to rescue the crew and the passengers which included amy and rory and quite emotional because of abigail pettigrew giving her voice knowing she would die because of her illness.

    @Patrick
    Agreed. Even though it didn’t feature as much Amy and Rory as I would have preferred, it was a fantastic special because it was so Christmassy, especially after three dark festive specials.

    @Thomas I think those kind of character driven stories are the best. No need for a a menacing takeover of Earth and sfx, just great characters.
