A spaceship salvage team drags the TARDIS on board, sending its systems into meltdown. As the Doctor marshals the motley salvage crew outside he realises Clara is still trapped within his malfunctioning ship, pursued by a dangerous group of ossified monsters.

Tonight Series 7 continued as the Doctor embarked on his most dangerous journey yet.

When a spaceship salvage team claimed the TARDIS they thought they’d stumbled upon their most prized possession yet but a police box that is bigger on the inside has its own fair share of secrets as Clara was about to find out! Trapped onboard the malfunctioning ship as it counted down to its imminent self destruction, the Doctor’s companion was in a race against time and a dangerous group of ossified monsters – no pressure then Clara!

With shocks and surprises awaiting around every corner, there was no time to spare as our heroes set out on a journey into the unknown – the very centre of the TARDIS itself.

So now that it’s aired did Stephen Thompson’s long awaited episode live up to the hype?

    I tried to like it I really did but if asked which I prefer, “show or tell” I prefer “tell.” Tell me a great story and I’m content. Run around showing me a bunch of things that don’t mean much (though I did like finding out the library really was next to the swimming pool) and I get bored. However, unlike last week’s episode I imagine I might watch this one again. Maybe.

    Meh. Could’ve done a lot with the episode (seriously – you see a big old book titled “Time War” and you only read the Dr’s name?) but wasted too much time wandering around the Tardis. Yes, exploring it was neat, and explained some of the mythology about the Tardis, but how many times do we need to see a person exiting and entering a room to figure out they are in a maze? The ending was a little too contrived. Bring back the spirited dialogue and the endings that actually make one think!

    I enjoyed this episode very much! I thought of it as one that will definetely be a landmark in Doctor Who to me. As the Doctor’s Wife, it’s a real pleasure to discover the inside of the Tardis. The whole set was very stylish and it hit completely my expectations ( hello library! swimming pool, astronomy room!) I got really moved by the scene where Clara finds a Tardis replica made by Amy when she was a little girl. And also the crib. It’s nice to see that even though the transition to Clara as the companion is made, Amy is still important.
    As for the “bad guys”, I felt truly revolted by what they did to their brother. I did not felt any remorse to see them perish. And a bit disappointed to see them restored in reality back to the start, making believe to their brother that he’s not actually human.
    And of course, Clara finding a book on the history of Time War… and the name of the Doctor… Let’s not forget we are on the last run of episodes till the finale! I am pretty sure Clara will remember what the Doctor told her about her mystery AND his name !
    I also reaaaaaally hope Matt will stay a bit longer as the Doctor. I am amazed by his acting and every episode is truly a delight to me. Jenna has given him a new energy and allows him to show another side of his Doctor.
    Can’t wait for saturday!

    @Emerald

    I’m pretty sure the scrap of cloth you are referring to is a simple wiper the Doctor was using to clean Tardis’ time rotor before Clara entered the control room.

    I really don’t like how everything now in DW always seems to be “magically” solved in the last 5 minutes. I also dislike how everything seems so completely serious all the time. Whatever happened to fun episodes like school reunion, or the doctor dances, which had humor throughout and was less of a horror genre
