The final UK rating for The Caretaker has been revealed.

In the sixth episode of the current series, which aired on Saturday 27th September, the Doctor went undercover when terrifying events threatened Coal Hill School.

The adventure was watched by an official audience of 6.81 million on BBC One, which is once again a considerable rise from its initial overnight of 4.89 million. The final rating is a consolidated figure which includes those who watched the episode within the first 7 days of its transmission.

At its halfway point, Series 8 has an official UK average rating of 7.4 million viewers.
