Netflix have released a new trailer for “The Crown”, their original series charting the inside story of Buckingham Palace and 10 Downing Street during World War II, which features a familiar face for Doctor Who fans.

Former Eleventh Doctor star Matt Smith takes on the role of Philip Mountbatten, the Duke of Edinburgh, in the 10 part period drama, which has been adapted from a play by Peter Morgan. It will co-star Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II and John Lithgow as Winston Churchill and will premiere on the streaming service later this year.
